CORRECTION

Two errors are reported from our last issue.

In the story: 'French driller COFOR gets first India contract' carried in our last issue we incorrectly reported that 'Cairn chose the firm without tender.' However, Cairn would like to make it clear that COFOR won the contract as it was the lowest among "multiple bidders" in a global tender. In the second error we incorrectly reported that Vantage Drilling rig Platinum Explorer is drilling exploration well MDW-23 at KG offshore block KG-DWN-98/2.

In fact Platinum is drilling MDW-23 at Mahanadi offshore block MN-DWN-98/3. ONGC says it might send Platinum to the KG offshore after the Mahanadi well, hence the confusion.
